You can apply all those things to coffee in general. The foil lined bags with a valve are impossible to recycle and Nespresso capsules use about half the coffee of a Mokka so the energy cost of growing and roasting etc is much lower.
I'd say a pretty high percentage of users in Switzerland know about it because the recycling is free, whereas waste is taxed quite heavily.

Again, even when you make it as easy as possible, what percentage of the user base do you think even knows or bothers with it? Not that excuses the energy and carbon costs of initial production, recycling, packaging, distribution and collection.
Cunning way for Nespresso to not alienate most of its more eco-friendly consumers tho
