Our East London polling station was dead at 6pm this evening. Another green household here.

Be much Greener (& easier to count) to get rid of Paper voting forms. Higher chance of rigging outcomes though?
There's no digital system that's provably 'safe' and not susceptible to manipulation or loss of anonymity.
(The current system makes it very difficult to break the anonymity side of things and, over the years, has resulted in completely insignificant levels of voter fraud.)

will May be around tomorrow afternoon?

Unless she gets hit by a lorry or has a bad heart attack the chances are she’ll still be around.

The only one I can remember are mandating a standardised interface for charging phones
What the actual fuck?!
-
• #21360
think of how many single use chargers have gone to landfills each year because of proprietary connectors not working anymore when people upgrade every 2 years.

Lecturn's out in Downing St. It's on.
I reckon she'll stand down after Trump is here and they'll aim to have a replacement by summer recess.

replacement by summer recess
Like last time - then that person can go off on a walking holiday.
Are there any likeable Tories (obvious oxymoron is obvious) that are possibles apart from the Gove / Johnson lists I see around? I find it hard to believe that Johnson is going to be the walk-in that the papers believe

John Cleese can fuck right off. He's become the thing he took the piss out of in the Monty Python days - a reactionary old English duffer. Also he was the first of the Pythons to stop being funny.

DePfeffel's current PR team is doing a great job,
by getting him to keep his mouth shut!
The fewer public pronouncements, the less chance there is of him saying something,
inevitably, that causes rancour.
Alternatives? We can hope.
Who had heard of John Major before he announced his candidacy? -

Theresa May: Worst Prime Minister, ever, (until the next one).
Any chance she can be prosecuted for the Home Office's 'hostile environment'?
-
• #21371
she malfunctioned and had a cry at the end .. so weird
-
• #21372
And an ugly cry at the end to cap off a statement full of bullshit. Good riddance.
-
• #21373
Leadership election follows the week after the 7th.
