Late to this but how do you find the drum? I have a Sachs drum brake on my Rocky Mountain. It was fitted with the entire front end from a Steve Bauer mountain bike as a bit of fun and because it looked cool but I'm not sure on whether I like the vague feeling that i get from it and whether this is something that is inherent with a drum brake or whether its just that mine is poorly setup.

Indeed, repositioning brake and gear levers was my first task!
I'm intrigued by the cable guides. Why go to that effort and not create bosses for the brake arms?
My only clue is a shop sticker that says it's bought from or refurbished by Arthur Caygill. Perhaps the frame was modified by a framebuilder
