  • Essentially I think it’s just what happens when Bell & Ross, a brand who are all about tool watch aesthetics, try to make an actual tool watch. You get bling case polishing, an impractical strap and unnecessary dimensions spoiling the formula.

    Sometimes they properly nail a watch - like the v2-92/93/chrono vintage range - but you suspect it’s almost by happy accident.

    They have an increasingly established sideline in obnoxious/rich/young/euro man-jewellery watches and I think it’s just that natural bias coming through.

    I love the V2-93 GMT but I think it can wait until after I scratch the Rolex itch.

  • Thanks. So, really, it is madness! Without a wrist, the watch does look good. The addition of the means to use the watch, the wrist, spoils it. All very odd.
