Yes. Usually the race organisers advertise that they'll collect discarded clothes and bundle them off for recycling.
Depends on how chilly it is at the start and how long I'll be standing around. Only needed it once at the start of Brighton one year.
Ran the Sydney Half yesterday - my first race (excluding one park run). I managed to get 1 hour 31 minutes which I’m very very pleased about. Annoyingly, by bloody Apple Watch said I was 2km short the entire race meaning I sort of lost morale when I thought I wasn’t go to hit my target. I also had a fair amount of reserve energy at the end. Oh well, still very happy with my time.
