Some cheap 700c disc wheel from planet x (https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/WPGIROEQ/gipiemme-roccia-equipe-700c-29-inch-disc-wheelset), with a 2" conti race king, it fits really well.
I think the axle to crown is 425mm, so a little taller than my crosscheck fork would have been originally, but I've long since forgotten the difference in handling

@alialias so far it seems like it's perhaps worth the £80, if it can withstand some ragging around for the next year or two I'd be more than satisfied! Did you say you bought a 26" one? What wheels and tyres are you running measurements wise?
@HCee great thanks for the advice! £80 seems like such a bargain after having a quick look at a few! They don't seem to be very common though on the bay?
