  • Dispatched on Monday apparently so hopefully they've arrived today. Just waiting for some thumbie adaptors for my bar end shifters and I'll be good to go.

  • They arrived today, finally got round to fitting them ready for tomorrow's ride.

First impressions are they are quite upright, I've added 20mm length to the stem and also a setback seat post (more to see if it helps my knee) so the reach should be about the same as drops(ish)

Sorry for the awful pic but it is midnight.

  • Getting on well with them so far, went on a very rough 73 mile gravel/offroad ride at the weekend, hands hurt a bit but I guess thats to be expected.

Very nice to have the wider bars for around town and the upright position is different but good. The bullhorn bits are similar to hoods and I dont think they're particularly slower than drops. Time will tell but I think Im riding to Finland in a month so I'll have to decide.

  • My Planet X "Geoff" bars were delivered this morning, looking forward to seeing how they feel!

  • Lovely bike. Any better pics?

  • Not fitted my Geoff's yet. Might chuck'em on the Pomp this weekend for starters.

  • I coloured mine in with a sharpie. They do make the bars look shite.

  • get some acetone and rub it off

  • She's a winner, not the prettiest bike (nor lightest) but very err... functional.

    (Silver seatpost ordered ;))

  • Doesn't improve the look of my Pomp, but feels nice on first ride.

  • Metal quite soft, already a sharp yet I don't recall clattering owt. (Edit out of focus, but between the wolves did it & on-one logo

  • Excellent news, alpkit laser etched theirs

  • Could someone who has the Geoff bars measure the width? On one claim 720mm, my alpkits are 660. If they're actually wider then I might get a pair of the on one's.

    On-One is correct - 720mm.

  • Hit some cobbles with the Geoff bars today, v.comfy!

  • In case anyone wants a comparison of bars.
    top - On-One Geoff 720mm
middle - Alpkit 'lovemud' Confucius / fu manchu 660mm
    Bottom - Jones H Bend 660mm

    here is a direct comparison:

So as you can see they're identical they just are that little bit longer.

  • Really useful. Thanks.

  • Moved my Zip Roll to the front, to make it even more anti.

    Fits nicely though.

  • Jut ordered some Geoff bars for my cross bike . Will be stripping and polishing them I think.

  • I also have a zip roll on my fake-Jones bars. They're tailor made for them.

  • I'd be tempted to put the zip roll on the front part of the loop with the opening facing towards you.

  • We're probably thinking different things here but I can't see how I could use the stabilising loop without running the bag upside down this way?

  • It is a good fit, I've moved to Zip Roll to my other beater bike for now though.
