A) yes & not big
B) he hasn't much time here which is why I think he's doing them this way
C) unsure, might make sense to do PB > BG > R I guess? -
• #20629
Yeah. I'm leaning that way. My Psoriasis I think is flaring in a toe on my left foot. It might be nice to have my trotters looked at for corns etc. Then go a physio and get laughed at.

Surely R is the most dangerous so best to do when freshest?
-
• #20631
Yeah. I imagine at 80hrs in any of the routes could be dangerous.

Seems C) is as I called it.

Managed to crawl to the end of the Hackney Half today. Really, really difficult after being sick last weekend, and not training enough.

Last year for me: 1:49.
This year for me: 2:22.Was hoping to crack 1:45 when I originally signed up for it. If it had been anywhere near my home today, I definitely would have bailed out early. Was almost in tears with the pain in my knees around the 16km mark, and felt like I was running through glue, my legs were so unresponsive by the end.

Got me right pumped up reading that. Such a good effort by the lad.

Well done @dubkev & @doubleodavey at Hackney today too.

It wasn't well done, it was overcooked, burnt to shit. I feel like a dog's dinner today. Sickness really messes up your training.

Is there an approved run commute bag?
For keys, wallet, phone, pants, notebook and a packed lunch? -
• #20641
OMM any of their range from 8l to 20l should work for you.

• #20642
Eek. Take it easy for a bit then look towards the next one?

Has anyone done a mountain marathon? I'm doing the Saunders in July and it's a bit of a step into the unknown. If you have then what kit is essential and do you have any recommendations?
-

I’d like to do the Saunders one year. Seems like a good first MM. Cant offer any advice tho!

Ran the Sydney Half yesterday - my first race (excluding one park run). I managed to get 1 hour 31 minutes which I’m very very pleased about. Annoyingly, by bloody Apple Watch said I was 2km short the entire race meaning I sort of lost morale when I thought I wasn’t go to hit my target. I also had a fair amount of reserve energy at the end. Oh well, still very happy with my time.
Also, is it common to see at races everyone at the start line throwing their jumpers in the bin?

Yes. Usually the race organisers advertise that they'll collect discarded clothes and bundle them off for recycling.
Depends on how chilly it is at the start and how long I'll be standing around. Only needed it once at the start of Brighton one year.

And so you should be, well done

So much better than the piles of discarded bin liners that used to be prevalent.

@dubkev well done for sticking it out after being ill. You looked fucked when i saw you around the 5m mark. Did @salmonchild run too?
A) is he any good and does he have any chance?
B) he has too much money and free time.
C) is he doing the Ramsay last?
