Ha, enough of a hassle getting them made up for our own use!
Just used the larger one (now with handle as seen in above pic) for the first time this morning, I believe the handle shape added about 10% to the epic quality of my cup.
:)
By the way, shouldn't be too expensive to have them made up, cost me $50 CAD for the three plus the handles. Handpresso charges about that for their own tamper. -

Ta, making a Lidl detour on my commute home now!

As per usual I'll throw in my vote for the Helor 101, very solid and consistant, especially on the finer grinds.

so $$$$ tho

True, but I'm hoping this will last as long as me.
Hoping that I'll last a relatively long time, just to be clear. -

ha good to clarify. as you could have a bicycle breakless fixie death wish...

Ah, the 80s.

Are you considering a Porlex? I have one that I haven’t used much that I’m looking to move on. It’s a good grinder.

• #16010
Did you get one?

Nice have Pm’d

Yeah, it doesn't offer much more than a caffetiere tbh, the locking lid being the most useful bit plus the rubber seal on the plunger might help prevent grinds in cup.
What's the 2019 thinking on Coldbrew g/l ratio?

I do 8-9:1 water to grounds, 12h+, plain old supermarket coffee. Tastes good!

Nice one ta, I've chucked 50g old Booths Costa Rican into ~400ml will see how it tastes tomorrow.

Are there any UK companies trying what Voilá/Sudden Coffee/Swift Cup are doing with decent tasting instant coffee? Going camping in Ibiza in a few weeks and the supermarket coffee best case scenario is Nescafé. I usually just accept it and buy that but if I could pack a few decent sachets it'd be great.

If you haven't seen it already, this might be helpful from James Hoffman.

I watched that a while ago which is why I know of the product but doesn't he mention just those 3 brands, or am I forgetting? They're all based outside Europe I think and are prohibitively expensive to import.

I bought a bunch of this type of thing in Seoul: https://www.thelaughingpug.com.au/product/eco-drip-coffee-bags/
Anywhere do something similar in the UK? Was in Ibiza last weekend and had great coffee each morning :)

Whats the forum approved travel coffee cup? I was looking at the Frank Green one in Rapha the other day. No insulation but rubber and not too big. Want it to not leak or break which I found keepcups to do. I lost my Klean Kanteen somewhere...

plenty of discussion on the frank green upthread. I'm a fan.

I've got a Frank Green regular and the wife has the insulated version, can take a bit of a knock, doesn't taste funky like the Keep Cup lid can and doesn't leak (most of the time, has been known to spill a bit of coffee if overfilled, lid assembled badly or lid not screwed down properly) Plus they do all kinda colours on their website. Insulated version keeps the drink hot but not for thermos levels of time. Lid can be a bit fiddly taking apart and cleaning and am just waiting to lose a piece but for us they work.

I know, I know utfs :'(

Wasn't a dig just an fyi besides never hurts asking for current recommendations as it allows for people to include more up to date info.

Yeah I didn't think it was one :)
The reviews of the Rapha cup are hilarious - full of people vexed that the rubber cup with plastic insulation doesn't keep their drinks warm on century rides
If anyone's interested (my) Lidl had Bodum cold brew and pourover thingies in. Cold brew especially is nice for this hot weather!
