Cycling in Scotland is amazing, but tough. The weather can be brutal all year round, and the roads can be very heavy. Some of the busier tourist roads can be dangerous so best to go off the beaten track. The further north you go, the quieter it gets though.

Or was that the PanCeltic race, that had the organizer posting there? I think some locals were not that pleased with the Trans Alba route.
