Glad to hear you didn't break anything. Doorings are often very dangerous and lead to serious injuries disproportionately often. I haven't heard of the mechanism Evans use; I've heard of bike shops assessing frames for free or for a much lower charge. Do you have another local bike shop you can try? Always better to support the independents.

Was on my way cycling home going along the mall stopped at the lights about 1/2 way along when 2 cyclists had a head on crash alongside on the segregated gravel bit. Jumped off and went to help along with a jogger who stopped and another cyclist. One of them cut his knee and arm badly the other has cracked/bruised ribs by the sound of it, got told 2hrs for an ambulance so cycled with him not too much over walking pace around to A+E. Unusual/eventful ride I guess.

All I could hear was the tick of my fucked up chainline. It is stressing me out..

Any kind of bike noise ruins riding for me a little bit. Probably the only part of 'The Rules' that isn't laughably lame (IMHO).
Always find it so strange seeing/hearing people with nice road bikes and all the clobber, but a completely fucked dry chain.

Yeah. I think it is making me depressed. It was utterly silent a few weeks ago but I've had no free fettling time to fix whatever is causing it. Grrrrrr.

FauxdieI love word games, but not as much as Schick.

There is a platinum-iridium reference fauxdie stored in a vacuum jar in a lab somewhere in Paris.

I got T-boned near the Notting Hill Evans a few years ago. I walked to the tube and went to The London Bicycle Workshop in Hammersmith instead...

The prototypical fauxdie one might say

Cheers! Just added to the Functional thread, not sure how to link to my exact post.
Last time I needed a frame reviewed I paid a local frame builder and added that to the claim. Then for the bike as a whole I took it to an actual shop who could quote for other parts and labour to rebuild.
