That's entirely irrelevant, not being very upfront about the end price of things should just not be legal, especially when we're not talking about a 50p card fee, but stuff like "oh there's 20% VAT and 15% fees on top of that".
Worth remembering that businesses (ie the main people that would be buying up job lots at auction) don't pay VAT, so it's not just a case of them being sneaky.
15% fees on the buyer's side is pretty steep if they don't mention it clearly upfront, though.
