As resident outdoor gear expert please can you advise, I want a 2 season bag, preferably down, to suit my broad (wide) and 6’2” self. If I’ve got up to/around £100 to spend (May be able to stretch) am I going to get anything lighter than 850-900g?
I’ve got a snug pack jungle bag at the moment which isn’t very warm but weighs 900g, and I’m planning on pairing whichever bag I take with a mid weight down jacket.
For North American west coast tour beginning of October, predicted night temps down to 2-4C I think.
Sorry if you’ve answered this already, I’ve gone back a couple of pages and looked through recommendations but not found anything lighter.
Sleeping in a tent , would quite like a rectangle bag rather than mummy, but they all seem heavier...

For £100 you should go to Decathlon and get something down with a good fill power.
There's also this quilt which would be great http://www.trek-lite.com/index.php?threads/mld-spirit-38.6381/
answered by me many times in this thread, look back through it
