That rings a very distant bell, I bought it twenty odd years ago... Bit noisy at times, TBH I could probably do with a new stereo but I hardly ever use it these days... Which is sad, I've got so much fucking vinyl...

Yeah it certainly was anyway.
I've always bought my hi-fi stuff there, good prices and the staff are good too, probably because they're happier than your average retail drone.
Why can't more people run their businesses like Julian Richer?

My first dole cheque bought me a stereo there!!
Marantz turntable and amp, Hitachi double tape deck, JPW mini monitors (which I still own, tho' I think I may have bought them a few years later)... Don't think I bought a tuner, I'd stopped listening to Peel by that stage, there was nothing more he could teach me...
I still use the Cambridge Audio amp I bought from the Fulham Road store in the very late 90s... And my Sony tuner!!
I also bought a Samsung Smart TV there, gave it to my in-laws because we had no use for it (it was our wall mounted bedroom TV in Brixton) but they've done nothing with it... I should get that back and chuck it in my office as a gaming screen...
