Make sense to change kit if not working.
I didn't used to wear arm warmers, mostly because I found the grippers irritating. What I did instead was carry a long sleeved jersey. A bit more bulky but more comfortable. I remember I used one on pbp in 2015.
After that I got some arm warmers I was happier with so ditched the Jersey. -

Cheers for the input. Gonna give it a bash.

Jesus, that's scared me. Have been taking ibuprofen for years when cycling long distance....

I wore some arm warmers with a grippy bit at the top for the entirety of a 300km and oh my god it was awful, my arms were so achey I couldn't believe how painful it was. Have since got some merino-y ones without any grippers and they are so much better

I was never a big user until trying to finish first TABR when I had all the tendon issues. But then I got the fluid retention/cankles which caused further problems and after I got back did some research and there's load of reasons not to use ibuprofen. So all subsequent races I've not taken any. I think I did take a tube of Voltaren with me on a race because you can apply that to a specific area without having it pass through all the rest of your body but I think that was after already doing damage in second TABR and worrying it would kick off in TCR a month later. Not sure if I even used it. Only paracetamol used during RATN.

How often do you have to pull them up or does your jersey do a good enough job of holding them? I'm always somewhere in between - too tight or too loose - they never stay put.

That's interesting, glad I've found this out now.

I did a 300k perm last weekend, starting at 9pm riding overnight. It was cold so had leg warmers on, spent all night pulling the right leg up. Still better than the option of not wearing them and getting cold.

every other pair of arm warmers fall down (or are way too tight in order to stay up) but these are perfect and stay in place
@Pifko it's these https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CLPXMARMW/planet-x-merino-seamless-arm-warmers

Does mywindsock have a file size limit?
I'm uploading a GPX and it's does a quick load icon but then nothing. -
• #9395
Easy way to find out would be to cut file in half or quarters and try again.

You and your sensible ideas. TCx seemed to work fine.

The old 'On-One' version had a rolled seam at each end of the tube to hold them up.
I think they are these ones now.

The on-one link says seamless so I guess they both are.

Can measure the bicep bit when I get home if you want.

Yeah, cheers that could help. Could you measure both ends?
I think it's a new event
