Anyone ride WTB rangers? Do they measure up small? I've got clearance for 26 x 2.7, but I'm wondering if I can get away with squeezing in a 26 x 2.8.

Need some alternatives to Vittoria Hyper 35mm folding. Seem hard to get hold of at the moment. Given they were about £20 at PX, looking around that budget...

am i much more likely to get punctures running 700 x 43c tyres with inner tubes designed to only go up to 38c?
does anyone do this?
-
• #6257
I run 28mm tubes in 32 and 35mm tyres, because I have a few in the shed, and I'm a tightarse. No problems so far.

More likely to pinch flat, depends on your weight really.

Anyone know a decent low profile rim for tubeless? Alloy, max 20mm depth and wide? Like a TB14

• #6262
Pacenti Brevet, not cheap, but a fine looking rim.

Any thoughts on Rolly Poly tyres?

I knew about the vinegar tip - but for me, it was simply a matter of cleaning and degreasing the tyre, especially in the case of new tyres, where the casting agents could be slippery when wet.
I can't figure out how it would render a tyre more supple. -

I have the jack browns which are the same. Tough, plastic-ey (grip in wet is so-so) last reasonably well. They are a long way from a performance tyre though. If they're cheap, all good, otherwise I would go with Vittoria rubinos.

Ok thanks. They are not cheap enough.

Looking for a 700x32C tire, tanwall if possible, mainly for pavement (calm rides, some commute, etc.)
Came across Panaracer Fairweather For Traveler, WTB exposure (but a bit expensive).
Any recommendations? -

Has anyone got experience with Specialized s-works turbo tires? They seem to very cheap for tubeless....

Panaracer Pasela

That Fairweather is just a Gravelking with what look like a 'more supple' sidewall. Tread pattern exactly the same.

I've just started using them so too early to say, but did that fixed ride in Peaks with some rough stuff and manages to burp the tyre off through combination of low pressure, not enough sealant..and a big rock. I'm sure they are fine for road.

Just fitted a pair I bought when PX had the 30% off. I'll report back in a couple of weeks.
You're a star. Thanks
