Be aware it only has rear rack mounts, so you won't be able to install a low rider rack on the fork for example.

Not sure what you're asking, you'd be fine on one of these depending on what kind of speed you move at/how much luggage you'd take.
I'd say if you're not camping you should be able to get away with a big Carradice.

Touring/Audax type people.
If I was gonna ride from Leeds to Amsterdam - not camping, more likely B&Bs/Hostels - is something like a Ribble 525 okay for that type of ride? ie - will take panniers and not break my back.
