  • decided last night that we'd take a wee stove (not me carrying it :p) so will have coffee and instant noodles or whatever out on the road which will be helpful.

  • Ever used dehydrated meals? They could be a lightweight/compact and sort of decent option if you've got ability to reconstitute them.

  • Idaho instant mash. We use it when backpacking, we sometimes stick some biltong in the water whilst it's boiling to soften it. Or a tin of tuna. 2minute microwave rice is good too but a lot heavier.
