I was never a big user until trying to finish first TABR when I had all the tendon issues. But then I got the fluid retention/cankles which caused further problems and after I got back did some research and there's load of reasons not to use ibuprofen. So all subsequent races I've not taken any. I think I did take a tube of Voltaren with me on a race because you can apply that to a specific area without having it pass through all the rest of your body but I think that was after already doing damage in second TABR and worrying it would kick off in TCR a month later. Not sure if I even used it. Only paracetamol used during RATN.
I don't take those. Be careful with any NSAIDs in endurance sport.

My wrist is now moving again with pain but much less 'grinding' of the tendon. Icing, eating lots and resting it.
I'd look into why the top of your foot is pained. Seems odd. Are your shoes too tight or loose? Are you grinding your toes to try and grip in the shoe?
