I'd look into why the top of your foot is pained. Seems odd. Are your shoes too tight or loose? Are you grinding your toes to try and grip in the shoe?

Probably too much walking around in converse over the bank holiday weekend, I've had it before need to get my boots repaired asap
I don't take those. Be careful with any NSAIDs in endurance sport.
