I work at a cargo bike shop where I ride bikes of all shapes and sizes on a daily basis and I own a Tradesman personally, I've not found it handle poorly loaded or unloaded.
That said, cockpit set up definitely matters, I find cycle trucks in general function best with some sort of swept-back bar.

I have seen your bike. It is awesome. I have also had something similar.
But they handle less awesome than the equivalent 26", 650b or 700c wheeled bikes with a rack. and I think that's why people opt for regular bikes over tradesman. ATMO -

Even in the world of cargo, Cycle Trucks are a bit niche - generally being considered "light cargo."
That said, I love them, and there are a handful of production and semi-custom options out there that I'd like to see more.
- Cero One (STEPS eBike)
- Ahearne Cycletruck
- Frances Cycles Platypus
- CycleFab Cycletruck Conversion Kit

Depends entirely on how much you're carrying. The Tradesman can carry up to about 23kg before it starts feeling flexy due to the fact that the rack is attached to and supported by the frame. An Ahearne with a 44mm headtube can carry closer to 45kg before it gets noodley.
It's been my general experience that you can carry maybe 12kg on a traditional 700c/650/26" bike with a front rack that moves with the fork before it starts severely impacting the handling to point of being unridable.

Ha, what a great photo (and cool dog), bike looks very nice as well yet I don't get why the fron tyre is so slicky.
