I've had an Edinburgh Cycles knock-off of that for almost 10 years. Apart from an issue with the height adjustment clamp being a bit shit, I've had no problems. The issue was that the upper section used to slide back down into the lower bit when cranks were turned or other things introducing some vibration into the system. I solved it by scoring the clamping section and putting in some carbon paste to add a bit of friction. Fine now.

We absolutely batter these as our mobile stands and they hold up to a lot, they're not as good as a heavier Park job (this incarnation is bikehand the one before was fatspanner) but they put up with a lot of use and abuse and bodge repairs to the mechanism. More than good enough for home use and quick and easy to fold and store.

Those panniers look worth a punt for a tenner.

Those panniers are well worth the punt for a tenner. Water resistant and the mounting points are a bit poo, but with sufficient bodging and a couple of dry bags they are more than adequate.
Oh and Lidl lewisham has a shit tonne of stuff left.
Edit, I’m talking about the black ortlieb copies btw. -

Picked up a seat pack in Lidl this morning. Figured it was worth a shot at a tenner.
Seems well made, couple of the straps are at a different angle to the instructions but think it’ll work fine.

My local lidl was out of bikepacking bags at 1200.
A cheap Aldi stand is probably more than adequate for indexing gears, which is the only thing I struggle with, not having a stand.
I imagine i’ll Forget to pick one up like I do every time they have them in.
