Just bought: https://cycletowork.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-ultegra-r8050-di2-11-speed-groupset/
What else will I need to get it setup? No mention of it coming with a charger.
Also like the idea of updating it from a phone/tablet. What will I need to achieve that?
Final question: Fitting to a seat post – I have a pro PLT, how much of a pain will it be?

Fitting to a seaport
Tilbury is probably best if you're London based

Charger is included. It's the very last thing on the list.
There are various bungs to secure the battery in the seatpost, they're pretty cheap.
For the wireless connectivity you'll need a EW-WU111 at ~£60.
Is the frame Di2 compatible?

i have one. no reasons i can think of. just a bit quieter and a bit less likely to drop, though tbf that happens so rarely that it is really the former reason.

If my Di2 is running the latest firmware i.e. updated at the back end of last year, can I just plug in a new 8050 front mech and get going?
The motor in my 6870 mech sounds horrible and is slow/reluctant to shift to the big ring.
I can’t really afford to pay my LBS full RRP then extra on labour at the moment.

Does etap wifli play nicely with shimnao cassettes?
Anyone running over the 32 recommendation? -
• #3534
I run my Etap with Shimano cassettes, no issues.
-
• #3535
Excellent.
Now dare I stretch to 34 -
• #3536
I run my moots with etap and a wolftooth roadlink and 10-40t cassette
-
• #3537
Which wolftooth as I couldn’t find a sram one maybe I’m being stupid
-
• #3538
For those Sram derailleur hangers that you get
-
• #3539
Don't think there is a Shimano or SRAM one - it just extends the distance of the hanger therefore moving the top jockey wheel further away from the cassette. Run mine for over a thousand miles with no issues

Haha Well this description specifically states not suitable, the other makes no mention of Sram.
I'd rather know before shelling out for the groupset...

Won't be released in time.

XT Di2 then

Looks great. Did you set it up yourself?
The only issue outstanding then is chain wrap.
Says it varies depending on chain stay length and chainset.
Is there an online calculator?? -

Ah this might be the issue then, I'm looking at running a double.
So the derailleur capacity is 32 for the wifli. -
• #3549
Just don't cross chain. Or buy AXS

Unless you find someone who has done it on your exact setup then you will probably have to bite the bullet and try. Smaller front chainrings is the obvious (but not always cheap solution).
Capacity can be taken with a pinch of salt though. I set up a Shimano mechanical 10s 4700 50/34 with an 11-40 cassette using a road link. Works fine and is 4T more than the stated capacity for the mech.
Actually, never mind. Of course it won't but it's not like I use it on the bike I do have with ANT+
Next question... anyone got one of the RX rear mechs? I am considering getting one and swapping the RX onto my existing di2 bike (offroad-ish) and moving the normal mech back. Any reason not to?
