I think I got the cockpit dialed in; SimWorks Steel stem and Ti bars, Thomson seatpost and Brooks Flyer saddle. I love the fact that my bars were made here in Somerville shipped to Japan where decals were applied and then shipped back to my shop in Somerville.

Front rack is a SimWorks that will be supporting a Swift handler bag. The rear bag will be supported by a Nitto Mark’s Rack as soon as the canti post mounts arrive.

Things to be decided:
1. Keep the 3x8 XTR drivetrain or install a 1x11 XT kit?
2. Build 650b wheels with a dynamo?
3. Fenders?

1. Stick with 3x8
2. How are you planning to get your brakes to work on a different wheelsize? (assuming existing wheels are 26")
3. Yes, if they'll work with those tyres.

1. “Stick with 3x8” left shifter is giving me a hard time and missing shifts. May have to swap out anyhow.

3. “Yes, if they'll work with those tyres.” We shall see, I might end up with some Super Yummy if I go 650.
