Partly yes. It's hardly a new point of view. For example, there have been quite a few Lib Dem councillors on the radio over the last few days saying leave voters voted for them because at least they knew what they stood for. I think motivations in this particular election are complex.

Meghan is in labour, fingers crossed that they call the baby Obama, just in time for the Trump visit.

This just in: Woman has baby

Yesterday's splash ws "woman has baby, dad looks happy"

This would be Donaghadee in North Down, next door to South Down, the constituency that elected Enoch Powell when he was too toxically racist even for the Tories (if you can even get your mind around that concept)?

I grew up in BT19, this does not surprise me in the slightest. The further down the peninsula you go, the more bigoted they become.

Archie leeching off the state:

Oooffffff...
Jeffrey Donaldson of the DUP worked for good old Enoch, another fine link to the past.

• #56510
Incredibly they weren't asking him "why the ten fried eggs mate?"
-
• #56511
look at that fuckin' plate. what a cunt.

Hah!

It seems he may have been caught starting a "breakfast challenge" that gets you a free meal whilst also complaining to Fox about welfare recipients getting something for nothing

I do hate that dominating the news, because I don't think it's news. But then Danny fucking Baker thinks this is a funny picture to tweet on the subject:
He deleted it and now claims it was entirely innocent and has done the whole "Sorry if people feel offended" non-apology. In fact, he's portraying himself as the victim. "My turn in the barrel".
Moron.

He says he was trying to make a joke about a posh kid in a suit. It was thoughtless, he's never been racist before.
-
• #56516
Yeah, was wondering what the problem was with the posh kid joke and then it clicked.
-
• #56517
Must be really hard to find any pictures of posh kids. Particularly nowish. Totally understandable that he had to use a monkey instead.
-
• #56518
A kid dressed in a bowler hat, suit and spats with a posh couple. I can see the point he was aiming for.
-
• #56519
Seemed like a pretty good apology to me. Tbh I didn’t make a connection either until it was pointed out.

The nature of these media storms is that vested interests start piling in and the gammon love a bit of presumed leftie double-standards. It's true you can be neglectfully racist.
-
• #56521
My thinking is that for statements that are very much open to interpretation first time offenders should get the benefit of the doubt. A three strikes and you're out rule perhaps?
-
• #56522
Wasn't impressed by "my turn in the barrel", though. Take your kicking for being royally stupid, don't make out that you're the victim.
-
• #56523
Yeah, Danny Baker - the infamous racist.
-
• #56524
Then David “blackface” Baddiel backed him up

Ah, the Greenhell school of thought that if somebody did something bad once, they must be viewed as bad forever.
EDIT: Thought it was a one off. Didn't realise that he did it for an entire season. Not a good look. Awful in fact.
As the area up there is mostly well off and mostly leave voting, it wouldn't completely surprise me either.
She doesn't live in one of those fine estates producing her supporters, no tiny 3 bedroom council house for her :p
