Mrs Bald is in love with it, despite swearing she hates autos. It is pretty damned quick, sticks to the road impressively and in all honesty I would drive it all the way to the salon (had I any use for such an establishment). For those of us who will never afford a supercar, or engine rebuild, it is actually a fucking hoot. There are cars which will try to kill you in an enjoyable manner, this is not one, but is really nice, even if wasted on estate agents.

If there’s a better than evens chance of arriving at your destination then it’s not a proper sports car.

Audi don't claim it to be a sports car, rather a sports coupe, meaning it has two seats for people and two for midget contortionist hamsters.

Taking a lot of back roads to avoid people seeing you in it ?

What bit of the wiring? Have you got the Haynes?

AMG/RS/M part pricing is crazy.
A friend was telling me he just paid £550 for RS3 front pads.
E9x M3 front discs are £750

It's on order. I'm not sure, think there is a loose connector somewhere.
Will work it out when not on nights. -

What is it exactly that isn't working? Just trying to think back to when I was fucking around with Mini wiring, it's all pretty basic and I can help, just trying to get a picture in advance.

How many penny?

Just lights not working. Checked bulbs. Checked obvious fuses on the roadside.
Someone else has messed with the loom in the past so its not standard- I just want to begin to categorise what goes where and replace wires with tidiness. -

Most probably your switch, Mini light switches break on the inside.

Is there a car related insurance claims thread?!
I pull up to reverse parallel park into a space, there is a car in front of said space parked on double yellows, the driver is talking to a friend on the pavement and doesn't look to be moving. I have indicators on and start reversing into the space, driver then backs into me hitting my passenger side as i'm at a 45 degree angle. She looks at me with a look of "what?" on her face so i tell her to pull in so i can get her details. She then pulls the "did i hit you?" line (her friend has already walked into shop), i point at the scuff on my car and the damage on her bumper and tell her i need her details. She then gets her friend out of the shop and what follows was a tirade of entitled/how very dare you/you're a liar abuse. Things get momentarily heated between me and her male friend so i calm down and ask her again for her details. She tells me i'm being aggressive (i'm not) and says she's leaving (even her friend has told her to give details).
By then everyone has left and i check with shops and there's no cctv. As you should i report to my insurance and make an online police report. Police contact me yesterday and i ask them not to follow up (he stuck a phone camera in my face, i grabbed the camera and he scratched my face). I then call insurers today telling them that as per previous conversation i had no intention of making a claim as the damage is minimal. And then it drops...
She has made a claim against me, claims she was already reversing, guessing her reason for leaving without sharing details is that i was 2 or 3 levels below in the social chain.
Luckily i had my partner with me who is generally pretty quick to tell me if i'm being off with people but she's been clear with me that i wasn't. From insurers perspective they probably won't be able to apportion blame so i'll loose my no claims bonus.
Anything i can do to fix this?!

speaking of insurance - i just renewed mine for half what the other (current) lot sent me in my renewal notice. seems too good to be true...

Very cool. On a related note, only found out about this thing at the weekend and now I need one.

If you're already reversing and someone moves behind you, you can't just hit them because you'd already started.
Can you tell that the scrapes on your car run front to back as that would prove her hitting you rather than you hitting her whilst reversing.
If you've no NCB to worry about, claim against her. -

Jump - the - gun...
Insurers just called to tell me the notification of a claim against me - was by me.
They were responding to my initial notification to my brokers, clear as mud, case closed.
As you were.

Not much help now, but this is a good lesson to everyone else about getting insurance details, and if refused calling the police on the spot. We've all got camera phones so worth recording the situation if it starts going south. Also if a ped or cyclist is involved, just call the police immediately and if they give you a contact number dial it then and there to check and try and get a pic of ID.
I was knocked off my motorbike by a guy on a Brompton who rlj at full pelt.
Gave me a fake name and contact no. but I still have to report it as ultimately he could have later claimed against me.
Boom, thanks for that.
Sadly they don't have the other parts, but I'll take a £900 saving happily.
On that note, I'm going to buy the calipers from Mercedes - had a look at second hand on eBay and by the time you've paid to refurb/refresh them they're more than BNIB+warranty. Nuts.
