I've opted out of the open electoral roll
That doesn't opt you out of the actual electoral register; it's possible that they have simply used the electoral register for its designated purpose. Election staff, political parties, candidates and holders of elected office use the register for electoral purposes
If that was all the electoral register was ever used for, we could all sleep more safely in our beds and it might approach the condition of being GDPR compliant, which it certainly isn't now.

I've received an election communication from the Brexit Party (my name and address on it). I've opted out of the open electoral roll. I have not signed up to receive anything from the Brexit Party.
Where could they have got my personal details from? And are they allowed to use them for this purpose?
