Is there any way to make these wheels: https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mobile/shimano-dura-ace-9000-c24-clincher-wheelset/rp-prod85476
Work with Campagnolo Centaur 10 Speed?
Ambrosio make Shimano splined, Campag spaced 10sp cassettes. Then add a 10sp cassette spacer to the 11sp Shimano freehub.
edit - oops, too slow.

Cheers also! Don't seem to be abundantly available. Some on eBay that appear to be Shinamo spline, Shimano spacing. Other sites are quite unclear as to what spline/spacing they have. Let me know if you're aware of a reliable supplier.

Presumably the top two on here are what I'm after. Will email them and see.

@PhilDAS and @JurekB - cheers.
I had wondered if I needed to order some helicoils at the same time.
@mdcc_tester - you might have a bright idea on this one....
I have a thread I'd like to clean/chase an M8 hole but there is an object (an exhaust) in the way so I can only get less than a 1/4 turn on it.
Is there a safe way to extend the chasing bit(?) by 10cm?
It's a 4 sided jobby:
Thanks. -

Are you really looking for a pulley tap but didn't know it's called that?

I need to get a new rear wheel built for the Xtracycle. The previous owner destroyed it using a mid-drive motor.
It’s a Shimano (Acera?) hub with Alex DX 406-32 rim. Rim looks a bit bad on the spoke holes. Unlikely salvageable.
I can’t find that rim available online.
What are my options for a good quality (strong, weight not important, cost somewhat important) 20” rim preferably in 406-32 that is actually available to buy?

Ah thanks. In my impatience I grabbed a NOS Sun Big City 406x34.5 (apparently). Now need a replacement hub, correct length spokes........

Correct as always!

I have a Sram Rival 10 speed short cage mech. I want to use this in a cobbled together 1x build.
I'd also quite like to use a larger rear cassette, 32 tooth, but possibly 36 I understand the mech is rated at max 28t, and online opinion is that this rating is correct (i.e. not conservative).
Will using a drop link give me the necessary clearance for a 32? More? Is total chain capacity going to become an issue?

So I have a way old Scott Endorphin and the alloy? Insert cable stops on the top tube have de-bonded. I’ve already attempted to re-stick with epoxy 2-pack with no luck. What is my next step? Is it a matter of more thorough cleaning? Or a different sticky substance? Ta

Would this work for you?

Potentially interested if SwissChap doesn't take it.
You have the hip/waist straps?
-
• #96765
@jdp Ah thanks, hadn't seen that - but I have a lead on an Osprey right now that looks promising, so I'll pass - @coventry_eagle go for it!

It's not my advert. I just remembered that SwissChap was hunting for one when I came across it this morning.

Get a sram exact actuation mtb mech, my setup is apex shifters, X5 10 speed mech with a 36t cassette and is sweet.

Any recommendations for reasonably quick cycling clubs/ groups in south east London/ Kent that aren't full of middle age blokes with a penchant for misogyny? It's getting a bit tiring.

Rookie mistake, no DIBS when I replied earlier but now up to 4th... FML...

They're hitting on you? Not surprised, you're a good looking kid... ;)

On my townie I get a load squarking noise when I stand up and pedal with the left pedal hard, but not when I pedal hard with my right pedal. It feels like the noise/vibration is coming from the rear hub. Any ideas?
-
• #96773
Honestly if it depends on which pedal you're putting the power through, I'd suspect the pedals first. Are you sure there isn't too much play on the left pedal axle? Also, I had something similar once where it turned out to be the bottom bracket, so it might be worth checking that too.

Loose crank arm bolt?
-
• #96775
is this a creaky-squark?
I had a similar thing to a beater-y, rattlecanned 531 frame, except it would often happen when I mashed the pedals sitting down too: Checked the bottom bracket, the pedal spindles and threads, crank arms, saddle rails, rear spokes &c &c
Turned out to be a seat stay that had pinged off the seat tube, but couldn’t be seen with the naked eye when the bike was stationary.
That looks perfect. Will hunt one down. Thanks!
