Slightly long post but wanted to share. If you're from Sheffield, this won't be news to you, but if not, it may be! I heard about a new brewery/ tap room opening up and I went to check it out recently. It's called 'The Brewery of Saint Mars of the Desert' (quite a long name I know) and I've genuinely had some of the best UK brewed beer I've ever had from them. Particularly 'Jack D'Or' which is a Belgian-inspired saison. It's run by a couple, Dan & Martha, who have lived and brewed in the US for the last 20 years.
Was chatting to them over the weekend and found out that Brewdog have bought 'all of their beer' this week and next week, to have on in all of their UK bars in the near future. Asides from this, their beer doesn't really leave Sheffield I don't think, yet. I wouldn't normally go to a brewdog but worth checking out if they have a takeover at your local brewdog.
