  • Convertible with aero screens, surely?

  • This is so gorgeous! So very jealous.

  • Saw a bit on the XKSS last night.

Never twigged it was left over D Type. 🤣

Not sure the crash rating is up to much either!

  • So beautiful... Getting there!!

  • Oooh a GTX, saw one the other month and god it’s gorgeous

  • Just seen this in Kennington, an old Lancia not dissolved by rain and rust? I didn't recognise it so had to look it up when I got home.

Its a Lancia Flaminia GT Coupe Superleggera. One of only of 170 made, body by Italian coach-builders Touring, and dates from about 1963. I couldn't seen any hardtops for sale, not surprising considering the rarity, but a soft top goes for ÂŁ120-130,000. Holy shit!

  • that is beautiful. and trumps my lancia spot of the weekend up in my home town of Banbury

  • Bodywork looks in amazing condition on that too, it must be kept out of the rain all the time :)

  • Stunning looking machine!

  • Gotta love Cars #Weinstein

  • Even stock ones are making several K now.

We had the estate for years on LPG and a 244 saloon that got smacked up many times by me and my two brothers, absolute tanks. Always wanted a 242 Coupe :)

  • Thought someone here might be up on number plates.

Is it possible to get a cheap 6-digit number plate? If so where are the best places? A quick look on a no plate website seemed to only list pretty expensive ones.

    Cheers.

  • Very much depends on what you want it to "say" I suspect. I've got five digit plates on my cars, which were a couple of hundred quid each plus admin and VAT.

If only my C55 could tow:https://www.paragongb.com/343/porsche-for-sale/porsche-carrera-2-race-car-for-sale-r170jpn

  • The car is fully road legal and UK registered and will be supplied with a fresh MOT.

    Why tow? :P

  • Not really fussed. I'm thinking of getting a tail tidy or smaller rear guard for my motorbike, but if I did, I'd also want a very slightly smaller no. plate. Imo 2 rows of 3 digits would look better /be easier to have a non-controversial trimmed numerplate.

On that Porsche - is it bad that the front boot is my fav part?

  • Why tow? :P

Because I'm 43 in three weeks.

  • I'm going through a minor midlife crisis (in my early 20's I should add) so I bought this. Should arrive in 4-6 weeks, can't wait.

  • noice. big block? '73 guards/pre '73 bumpers?

  • small block with high compression heads and a thumper cam apparently making over 400whp. It's a 71, side vents are an aftermarket addition, will be going back to the correct egg crates.

Plan is to fit the L88 widearch kit, refit original headlights with electric motors, got some BBS 16x11 E50 split rims for it and ofcourse a luggage rack.

Worst case i'll drop a cadillac 8.2 big block in it.

  • sounds good!

can i suggest the filipinetti perspex headlights, ha-fucking-yooge side pipes and '69 gills?

  • shit-hot yank tractor...

[edit - NART 'vette, not the filipinetti...]

  • If it's anything like the other stuff that gets prepared by Mike Jordan this thing will be incredible. My dads previous Tuscan race car was Mike Jordan's last Tuscan Challenge car and it was built to an incredibly high standard. We raced it for a couple of seasons and then sold it on. It's now ended up back with Mike and they are fully refreshing it to keep.

  • Not being pedantic but isn't your engine builder going to best placed to say what is reasonable to build to based on what you've requested from the engine?

  • The project has morphed from “Neil wants more zing” to “commercially offering 400bhp rebuilds of the M96 motor”, so the engine builder was after guidance on what we thought would be appropriate for something offered for sale. For e.g. if you bought an engine from us where we specify a redline of 8,200rpm and the entire valve train turns into shrapnel at 8,300 then I’d say you have every right to be a bit cross.
