  • Cable car or Woolwich ferry?

  • Great ride. Great group. Great route (ahem).

We really had a bit of everything today. On road. Off road. On boat. Up hill. Down dale. A collection of compass beer pubs. Much IKEA food. Comedy mechanicals. A murder scene.

    Some pics:

  • Excellent Day out. Forgot to pick up some plastic cutlery at the last restaurant but probably for the best after the rose incident. We were probably being watched with eagle eyes. Added bonus to have seen the Hindu temple and the Premier League Trophy.

To those who's pictures I nick for my super popular instagram influencer page with over 100 followers (almost at 110) would you like any mentions or tags?

  • Jealous I missed out on all the fun, props to those braving the wind on the way round!

  • That was a great day, thanks @mashton et al.

The crossing in the cable car on the way back was a wee bit scary, felt like we were rocked around quite a bit.

  • I was successful in getting some plastic cutlery!

  • Brilliant day. Legs are damn tired - would be involved in conspiracy to steal fake floristry again.

  • The roads for these are awful, what's the proposed route to avoid the worst bits right next to the Ikeas?

Just revisiting this comment, the route we rode turned out to be properly lovely. It is amazing that we rode nearly fifty miles in Central London and had so much of it off road or on very quiet roads.

  • It was a truly great route, which I will definitely be doing parts or all of in the near future.

The worst Ikea entry was probably Wembley / A406 the rest had cycle paths on the pavement if I remember correctly.

  • For completeness, here is me (and Imogen, photo bombing) outside IKEA TCR, right now.

  • Strong work putting this on and getting out in that weather. Was the cable car on?

  • We took the Greenway down to Woolwich Ferry as we assumed that the Cable Car would be closed. We were wrong and saw it moving in the distance as we disembarked the ferry.

But, the tailwind assisted Greenway Dash was super fun. And those who did take the cable car on their way home reported that it was a bit "swingy".

  • Did you take your dad for old times sake?

  • Shut up and put the mask back on.

  • I'm currently trying to explain this ride to some friends. They don't get it.
