This is this Saturday.
9.45 departure from IKEA Croydon. I'll get there for 9am for a coffee and a cake.
Meeting point will be near the kids playground, by the entrance.
A lot of this ride will be on river paths. Bring appropriate tyres and tools. A lock will probably be needed.
If anyone with Garmin's could upload the route in the first post, that would be good.
See you then.

We can decide on cable car or foot tunnel or ferry when we are at Stratford.
The main bit of the route that I need Garmin help with is from Wembley to Walthamstow.

It's gonna rain. Mud guards if you can please.

Right, time to fettle with tyres and mudguards then. And with garmin.
Cable car pretty please :)

Weather wise, Sunday would be better.
Any views?

I’d be happy with that.
(Cue hail storms on Sunday...)
But you might lose the people that want to ride that 25-odd miles ride around central London and that ends near Buckingham Palace.

i can only do saturday...

We'll stick with Saturday unless there is an overwhelming complaint.

rain is looking less likely now but could be a bit blowy

In other potential sporting disruption news it's also Spurs - West Ham kicking off at 12:30 tomorrow with road closures from 10:30 to 16:00 around the new Tottenham Stadium. Looks like the route skirts just around any of the closed roads noted on the TfL site but could be a bit busier traffic wise just to be aware of.

I might head over for the start and then bugger off when it starts to rain.

Do Ikea have a dress code? Does it mention Lycra?
-
• #139
Lycra must be blue+yellow if it's going to be worn as part of the uniform.

Thanks for the info about Tottenham Traffic. Hopefully we won't be in the thick of it for too long.
See y'all tomorrow.

After much fettling I have mudguards and tyres that hold air. Now to put some pedals on.

Got a poorly rellyin Brighton so am riding down there. Sad to miss it. Have a hot dog for me x

feel that we would be missing out if we didn’t take the Thames path from Putney to the newly closed-to-cars Hammersmith bridge.
Obviously good route adjustment is obvious. We can do this.

With this wind, we will need to check if the cable car is open.
-
• #146
It's open so far today which is good.
We're going to leave IKEA Croydon at 9.45. if you are coming but will be a bit late, shout on here. I'll check before heading off.

I didn't wake up till like 10:30 so missed this.
No I don't think so. Possibly the last section from the ferry / foot tunnel to IKEA Greenwich. But I don't think it will be an issue.
I was in Blackheath on Thursday and saw the signs for the marathon. Did a quick mental run through and figured it would be fine .
