Somebody should come up with a handy product to fulfil that role.

Fairies not required, plain water is an adequate lubricant and doesn't leave slippery or corrosive residue. If you use enough of it fast enough, you don't need any wetting agents or humectants, making EasyFit a benefit only if you have to do your tyre fitting in a room where you're not allowed to splash water around.
