Needing to replace a front rack after it's died. Looking for a rack for touring that can be taken off and put in a bike box for travelling - making porteur racks less attractive given the need to disassemble and reassemble.
Current front runner is Surly's Nice Rack 2.0 Front but it weighs a lot (1382 gram) but flipside is that it can carry a decent load.
Tubus Grand Expedition looks like it would hit the spot but doesn't look like it would hit the spot. There's also Tubus' Tare and Duo racks but do like the option of lashing items on top and definitely reduced load carrying capacity.
Blackburn Outpost is the same design as the Surly, for less than half the weight and cheaper.
Rated to 20kg, there is a little bit of flex when you load it up fully but hardly a big deal.
Very easy to mount, and also to add my dynamo lamp too.

Have I missed anything in particular?
