'Very regrettable sale'

• #61053
Hello guys,
I understand that what EpicFrank did was wrong but there is something I don't fully understand. For example, I have myself an eBay account (name is JulianFR1) where I've listed dozens of N.O.S. framesets or expensive stuff like ergostem or Campie Deltas etc...
Since it's eBay, I don't list my stuff at bargain prices but at rather high prices. Nevertheless, if I was to sell them to some guys on the forum I would ask much better prices... but I can't because it is not allowed, right? So I can't put adds in different places (eBay/LFGSS) and I can't advertise my eBay listings either.
In a way I'm forced to sell my stuff on eBay right? Please don't lynch me I'm just asking !

I you want to sell here, sell here. Just don't have them on more than one site at once.

@JulianFR @Howard What I would do is write my advert, photograph the bike. Try here first, save on fees, less hassle (and probably make a donation to the forum if it sells - especially if you use it a lot). Then if it doesn't sell, remove my advert and try ebay.
Or you could do ebay first then when the listing ends and isn't sold, sell it here. -

It's been explained to me that it leads to this thread simple becoming a set of links to eBay listings; which devalues the thread entirely.
EpicFrank has a whole set of other issues ;-)

I mean, you're not forced to have your stuff on ebay. List it here (i.e., in the Classifieds section) when it isn't on ebay.
Above all, don't pretend you stumbled across that super interesting ebay listing which turns out to be your own. I still can't get over how brazen that was, especially with him putting it on the forum at the same time.

eBay are doing the 'Max Selling Fee £1 promotion' again, didn't see it highlighted anywhere but was on the promotion section of the selling overview page.

Badly listed Sram Omnium:
"Truvativ" Chainset.
Think seller got the incorrect brand from the chainring but that isn't included...
