1. Fir Polar clincher- bought this as 650c but it is a bit smaller, I think it is a mtb . Spins true, few scratches, brake area concave but they seem to be concave on new examples ?? £10

Is the Fir Polar 650c wheel still available? Also do you have tyres greater than x20?

I don't think the Polar is 650c - I bought it as that but it is slightly smaller.
The 650c Conti are 23.

Okay but will the 650c x23 Conti tyre fit fine?

Hi The tyres will only fit 650c rims.
I have no idea what size the Polar is but it is not wide like mtb.
You are welcome to the 2 tyres and wheel for a tenner (I think I paid about 25 for the wheel from here)

Hi Yes it is But it's not a 650c I have no Idea what size it is as it's quite narrow like a road wheel and I don't think it is a MTB wheel but it is a tiny bit too small for a 650c Conti tyre.
If you want to take a chance and collect it you can have it as a gift.

chances are the the Polar is a narrow 26" etrto 559, a 650c is slightly larger at etrto 571 and a slick MTB tyre such as 26 x 1" should fit ok........

Assuming that polar wheel is gone? Sorry to revive and old thread...
