"Free parking will be available in the village hall car-park for the duration of the event. Please note the organiser is not responsible for your vehicle and/or their contents during the event."
So the car option would be easy (apart from the 12-Monster-cans drive back).
There's a hotel with an £80 room left about 12k from the start (23k from Preston).
Train is £90+ return.
I wonder how long it will take to finish this though? Maybe Sunday night?
In which case it might make sense to sleep and then drive back Mon morning.I need to have a look and see how long Tan Hill 600 took me and how long I was stopped for, etc. to have some idea.

Oof, it's not a cheap do. I've not got a car so defo gonna train it up there, it's which is the least faff option for accommodation really... And the one that gives you the lowest sleep deficit at the start line.
It looks like people tend to finish with very little time to spare, like an hour or so. That's if they finish.
Sunday night I'm tempted to go for that slightly pricier/nearer room as I'm pretty sure I'll be wanting to go to sleep pretty quickly
Yeah, it's annoying there's no real decent accommodation options near Clitheroe, and a bit of a slog up on the train.
I'd happily Air BnB it in someone's garage if it meant more time in bed and less riding to and from the depart tbh! I don't feel like I need to prove anything there.
Otherwise it seems to be a Hobson's choice of a Premier Inn in either Blackburn or Burnley
