One is a drab council tower block from the sixties and the other is an 850 year old UNESCO World Heritage site of national importance which millions of people have visited. Comparing the response to the Grenfell fire is a bit pointless.
I despise the wealth and status afforded to religion generally, just to be clear, I don't think it should get a penny. But unfortunately the world doesn't work that way. Do people really expect capitalist barons to donate their money to rebuilding social housing? They were probably happy to see it burn down.
