I ended up sending back the OV1 to Steinhart and getting the 39 vintage explorer Plexi from gnomon. First impressions are the size and proportions are much better for me. The dial is way more gold than in pictures.
I have no.246 out of 300 so there is still a few left. It got here amazingly fast from Singapore and avoided customs fees for once.
It’s a great looking watch to not worry too much about. Hopefully pictures on Friday if I can size the strap in time.
