I just did the Paris marathon yesterday. Left foot a bit swollen this morning (particularly the big toe joint - what's that about?) but other than that I'm actually feeling pretty good. Got a sub-5 result which I'm very happy about but I know is nothing compared to people on here; however, almost 12 minutes quicker than last year - and I didn't even train as hard. Thanks to everyone for all their advice :-)
Nice one, great effort! I think the marathon can bring on all sorts of strange pains and niggles as the body fatigues through the race and makes you move in strange ways. Both my feet feel a little beaten up today. Enjoy resting and eating!
Well done! 12 mins off is great work. Let that toe heal up, the big toe takes a lot of force as you "launch" off the foot so probably just the repetitive motion coupled with tiredness as PhilPub says.
