Tough ride today but I took my time. Lovely to meet and ride with Oliver & Skully. Nice to see some familiar faces and meet some new people.
It's a shame I lost some earphones but today's been so great I couldn't let it bother me. Even squeezed a skatepark session in after. -

Wonderful ride. I had the good fortune to bump into @psg1ben and I have to say that it was one of my favourite Cobblemonsters/London Classics. Bring on the 10th Anniversary. :)
So good to see everyone. And well done to @Dave_Cobblemonster and crew for putting together, or should we say curating (got to keep up with the times) such a great ride.

Love this ride, those Stepney Green cobbles are always such a blast. Thanks @Dave_Cobblemonster and the rest of the team for organising and thanks to Brixton Cycles and Jamm.
Managed to whip up a solid contingent from Brixton Cycles Club for this, rave reviews from those who hadn't done it before. It was so good to see so many people out on bikes enjoying life.
Hope the ride can continue next year and honour the spirit of London Classic / Cobblemonster, would be sad to see it go!

was proud to roll with some of South London's finest and the wonderful mob from Norths on here.
sorry we all got a bit strung out but that always happens once the lumps begin.

Physical signage is probably beyond us, but a gps route and start time/place should be sufficient to get a ride together?
-
• #140
I've got a gps route from last year if anyone wants it
-
• #141
Still see a lot of the signs still up :)!

Pretty sure it’s still going ahead? @eldweebio of this parish had taken over the reins last I heard? I’ve got it in my diary for Sunday 5th April.

Great please keep us posted, Tour of Flanders date? Most know the route, it’s been ridden enough times, but would be good if it’s happening, social highlight of the year.
cheers

@Diablo and @Skülly were organising this year but got delayed by things like moving house and having to move the date because it clashed with Easter this year so are having an informal ride this year with a full ride next year they will no doubt post their plans soon
cough, ergh... fart to cover cough

Poor diablo keeps getting tagged, it was @eldweebio and me who were meant to run Cobblemonster this year.
As @Zebra_Cyclist said, intention was to ride it anyway. But now...
In other news Spain have banned lone cycling.

To honour Paris-Roubaix, I have edited the Cobblemonster route to form a New Cross-Greenwich route, with Holland Park Mews as the Forest of Arenberg https://ridewithgps.com/routes/34372235
great day out. loved all of it.
really awesome to see so many faces.
sunshine was superb.
if this doesn't happen next year we should run it as a forum day out for sure.
....the arrows will likely still be up!
