For sale is a well restored vintage Fred Dean frame dating from 1967 - the frame number is 4467.
Fred Dean ran a cycle shop at various addresses in York Road, Wandsworth over the course of 10 years or so closing up in the late 1960s. There is much in the way of information about this marque on the well known Classic Lightweights site.
I have owned this frame for several years and it had previously been restored to a high standard. The transfers are water slide and not the more obtrusive or modern vinyl. There are one or two small marks and a bigger blemish to the cream panel on the seat tube but this could easily be touched in. The vital statistics are: 22.5 inches seat tube centre to top, 21.5" centre to centre top tube and the rear dropout width is 124 mm. It's being sold to fund another bike and comes as is - the headset cups are not included. Price - £140. I don't want to post it but collection can be made here at RG6 close to Earley Railway Station or for £20 I can bring it by train to Clapham Junction Station.
Can only post one picture on here but can pm others on request. I also have other frames from the 1950's / 60's to sell - a J.J Whittaker of Romford, an HGS (Horace Shillingford of Leighton Buzzard and a James Fothergill of Liverpool.
