No worries. They’re solid machines for the money, so a good choice. Hope you enjoy it

Someone has already made contact via PM I’m afraid. If it doesn’t work out though I’ll give you a shout.

That's amazing, love the blue.

Other half is in charge of aesthetic choices. Am really enjoying the trough sink for rinsing milk jugs, also it has a sloped bottom so cleaning cloths don’t sit in a festering puddle

How do you like the machine? Did you have a Silvia before hand or am I thinking of someone else.

I'm very curious to try Chinese beans but they seem a bit too rich for my blood right now; think when Square Mile were selling them they were even pricier. Tasting notes on the Darkwoods site sound interesting though.

Hermosa premium is absolutely peachy in the espresso machine.
Thanks @StevePeel
Downside: this is going to end with twin boiler...

Last coffee on this setup this morning!
I will be selling this kit shortly for £200 for the pair.
Gaggia Baby Class D, which I have slowly upgraded over the last past 4 years with all the "good" mods:
-Gaggia Bottomless (Naked) Portafilter 21g Black Handle £37.08 (makes nice Instagram shots)
-Rancilio Silvia steam wand conversion £13.95 (improved steaming action)- Gaggia Brass Shower Plate Holder 57x14mm - WGA16G1002 £19.92 (adds thermal mass)
- MS Gaggia Precision Shower Screen ø 55mm - GA200IM £17.04 (improved flow, easier to clean and less residue when backflushing)
- Gaggia Classic Olab 3 Way Solenoid Valve 230v - DM1645/001 £58.56 (prevents the solenoid issues)
Also a Sage BCG800UK grinder which was £199 new.
Picking up a new ECM Synchronika PID with matching grinder from Doppio Coffee this afternoon.

Much excite!
The E61 plus PID is superb; I love mine.
I'm not 100% convinced by the steam function on my Classika but you won't have that issue on the Synchronika.

At Doppio for training, exciting!
@StevePeel check out this beast

What is the difference between the low and high-end E61 machines? Anything E61 and PID should perform more or less equally, no?
-
• #15921
Boiler size can vary
-
• #15922
Ah yes, which would be mostly relevant for cups in relatively quick succession?
I'm asking because I'm half considering moving on my PID'ed Pavoni (~€300) and buying a second hand Vibiemme Domobar (~€450) which I can then PID again. I got sick of my caffeine dependence so I'm down to one cup per day, and my better half doesn't drink coffee at all. I guess I'd actually prefer a smaller boiler, to minimise the amount of energy used when heating it up every day.

Loving the dark finish.
Dare I ask how much?

This is the anthracite version and after having some conversations with ECM via social media, they agreed to powdercoat the front panel for £50 extra.

Looks smart! Much easier to keep clean than the chrome I would imagine too
I’ve got one of these that’s surplus to requirements. It’s been well used, but works perfectly. Happy to let it go for £40 if it can be picked up from SE13
