I think Darren Baum is doing pretty well down in Melbourne.

Ok fair.
My thinking is that the market for furniture-ish things is bigger and easier to profile a business around.
Framebuilding is a very small market and there is sooooooo much talent and competition out there.
And I think my furniture has a bit more edge than my framebuilding. But I appreciate all the warm comments and I deeply wish I could see a life for me doing Framebuilding. It gets me mega excited, but so does furniture. So maybe both? All of it? Just design+making and charge accordingly.

Look, I think with your multitude of talents, whatever you turn your attention to, if you give it a shot, you have a chance of making it a success. And if not, you pivot, right?
Unlike me, I'm a one trick pony and all I can do is write code ...

I am with @Hulsroy .. much higher ROI on furniture-ish stuff than bikes, broader audience (including me). Bikes are finished.

I'd love to get back into it. really miss making stuff in a workshop.

Near enough same. Industrial Design with specialty in 3D machining for furniture. No idea why I didn't pursue it.
