Looking into going 3x9 with 2x Campa 9 speed levers (early vintage). Would this work at all?
The front derailleur I guess needs to be switched to something 3x specific.
Would 9 speed tiagra work?
The front derailleur is the dumb bit that is told what to do by the smart bit, the shifter.
If the shifter doesn’t have enough cable pull to move the front derailleur across three rings it doesn’t matter what shifter you use.
Does the Campagnolo shifters is ratchet for the left hand one? like have minor click instead of big click for each shift?
If so, it's possible to get it to work.
