I really don't use this frame enough so I'm offering it for sale.
Custom built for me by Steve in 2010, and the brief was build me the strongest 700c touring frame you can!
It is built from heavy gauge oversize Reynolds 725 (including the rear stays) with the exception of the seat and top tubes which are externally butted 531 tandem tubes and is fillet brazed & uses a 1 1/8" ahead stem.
It has a full compliment of touring braze ons including canti or v brake bosses with cable hanger, 3 sets of bottle bosses, front & rear rack mounts, all cable stops & guides, pump peg behind head tube and a dynamo boss on the right fork leg for a b&m
Clearances are extremely generous and it will cope with 37-40mm tyres with loads of mudguard space.
The paint is Poly Grigio and is in great condition with the only wear being to the drop outs fork crown where mudguards & lights have been fitted and carrier bosses (which will mostly be covered when components are fitted), clear cable guards have been fitted to the contact points and chain stay from new.
You will need to be tall to ride this frame, I am 6'5"
The seat tube measures 60cm c-t (there is a 6cm slope to the top tube).
Top effective top tube length is 60cm c-c
Head tube is 22cm
Rear stays are 45cm c-c
Wheelbase is 108cm
Front centres are 65cm
Rear end spacing is 135mm with vertical dropouts and the front is 100mm
Front drop outs to the top of the fork steerer is 73cm measured vertically, there are 50mm of spacers above the headset.
Frame angles are 72 degrees parallel
I will include a new set of silver Shimano v brakes (which have cartridge pads & adjustable cable noodles).
An almost new Hope headset is fitted and the frame takes a 27.0mm seat post.
I would like £400 plus postage at cost for it, or you're welcome to collect from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire.
Pics are here in my Flikr account showing the frame only and fully built when I first had it built in 2010
