Anyone with any ring finger tattoos?
I don't wear a wedding ring so tattoo seemed like a good idea.
I was just going to go for a single letter.

Yes, have had a band tattooed for about 3 years. inside of the finger hurts like a fucker

I guy I used to work with did. Then he got divorced and wasn’t happy.
I don’t wear my ring at work for safety reasons but not sure I’d get the tattoo... :/ -

for starters tattoos on the fingers dont stick that good. Top stays ok but the rest fades, and laser removal is cheap. If you are worried about getting the tattoo removed if you divorce why bother being married at all.

I was tempted by the band but the tattooist seemed to think it would fade quickly. I may revert back to the band.
I'd like to think I won't get divorced, but I can be a massive twat some times, so my wife tells me.

I was just inserting my 2p worth as someone who’s been married a while, considered it and decided against it based on a close friends experience.
Cost of removal wouldn’t be a barrier to me anyway.Less telling people what they should or shouldn’t do, more tat pics!

I've been married for 3 years. I don't like wearing jewellery. I'm in the gym everyday so it would only get scratched.
I had a wooden ring which broke, a silicone one which irritated my skin. So tattoo seems like a reasonable idea.
I don't plan on getting divorced so not too worried about that.

Oooh silicone rings are a thing? Now that’s a good idea. I wear silicone ear tunnels so presume it wouldn’t give me a reaction.
I don’t intend to get divorced either but no-one knows what tomorrow brings, I just got a little bent out of shape as I read @young_gun post as implying my marriage wasn’t on point just cos I decided against a wedding ring tattoo :pAnyway, anyone else been stabbed lately? Feel like I’ve been monopolising the thread over the last page or so..

Yeah i think you where reading non-existant sub text.
Like I said finger ring is 3 years old now, inside is lighter but still there. The other bonus is it reads like a ring not a hand tattoo to norms. If you want to get something like this done find someone that does palms, if they can do a palm they can make it stick.

I had two oak leaves on my ring finger as a wedding ring, first Mrs Tea had forget me not flowers, we divorced. Second Mrs Tea didn't really like it, but it's part of the story of my life, so they stayed. Luckily second Mrs Tea is called Kate, so to honour her in tattoo form, on my right knuckles I have LOVE , and my left, you guessed it , KATE.
It's your life n finger, if you like the idea of a tattooed ring, go for it. -

What is the etiquette for getting tattoos touched up - I have two back/shoulder Iban designs, one was touched up by the original artist (basically overdone entirely). The other I can’t go back to the original artist as he is half way round the world. I do have a familiar rapport with him though. The latter tattoo could benefit from a touch up, I’ve given it ten months to bleed/blend - it was hand poked. Now, do I ask him for a recommended artist in London/SE, or just find someone who does the same style? I have someone in mind who has tattooed a friend.
It is all black work - is one black ink the same as another? Getting a touch up from a different artist present any problems (other than paying for it).

Oh and next tattoo - I know what I want but unsure on placement.
-
• #11644
Unless it really bothers you I'd probably spend the money/time on a new tattoo instead.
