  • So, I’m currently creating a theatre project about cycling in London, made from real-life stories, and wanted to ask if anyone on here wanted to be a part of the project and share their stories about cycling in London!

The scope is pretty broad, so they can be anything from an exceptionally strange or wonderful interaction in a bike shop, to meeting new friends at the start of the Dunwich Dynamo, to a mad night out at a bike polo party. If it’s loosely related to bikes and London, it’s good.

In terms of how the stories will be used, some will be read out verbatim, some will be played as recordings, and some will be used as inspiration for small devised theatre pieces. If there’s any way you don’t want your story to be used or if you want to remain anonymous, then just let me know and I will make sure your stories are only used in ways that you are comfortable with.

At the moment I’m just collecting written accounts, but give me a shout if you would prefer to record your story, or to meet up to talk about it interview style as I’ll be doing that too at a later stage.

I want to celebrate the stories and sense of community that I’ve found in cycling, in a large part because of LFGSS. I’ve ridden across London, played polo, and had wild adventures with so many amazing people because of this forum (and been catfished by Lynchman), so it would be great to hear some stories from people on here.

Put them in the thread, drop me a PM, or send a link to them. Ask any questions you might have, and of course you’re all invited to the final show (in September), I’d love to see loads of you there.
