  • Prob ideal car for that use, be aware of the 1.0l ecoboost splitting it's coolant hoses and cracking the cyl head. Think Ford have finally done a proper recall and are replacing hoses and putting a level check in the coolant tank.
Only other thing I know of, they can leak as use similar type of rear boot vent to the focus which leaks water in behind rear bumper into boot floor (which fills up abs spills over into the back seat and then the front, it's horrendous to deal with as car will be mouldy front to back.
Simply lift boot carpet an check its dry. Also check other carpets as they can leak in through door seals (corner of that funky door) and ac unit under dash can crack and instead of the water going down the drain and under the car, it runs out side of casing and into floor carpets.

  • Yep, turned up for a bit and with a small bit of walking on an uneven ground managed to aggravate my knee again.

  • Goodwood can fuck right off. I am watching it through the app, but they want £39 for a years membership to watch the live feed on Youtube. Gerry Marshall is live for free, but apparently the feed is fucked.

    Greedy fuckers

  • What are you saying, that goodwood is fucking expensive...if bored look how much it costs when event such as the revival and camping onsite with no facilities just a tent!!!!!

Having access to older vehicles and friends with spare beds nearby and don't mind me sleeping over makes it much nicer and cheaper for plebs like me.

  • Or the reality is bags of frozen peas on a knee for 30mins every 2 hours and non steroidal anti inflammatories.

  • That is a beast :D

  • Exactly, ideal repair is a new section of loom through the moving part so your solder connections are in the non moving part of the loom.

  • Spotted today in my neighbourhood.

  • Judd V10s are just the best sounding engines aren't they?

Amazing weather at Goodwood, although being in charge of a 15 month old while trying to enjoy watching car racing is pretty hard. Left at 16:00 to get home in time for his dinner and bath, but heard from my friend there was a big smash in the last race.

  • Awesome - that's exactly the sort of advice I needed.

I am meeting some resistance as apparently it 'looks boring'. 🙄

  • can i trick anyone into helping with my car this weekend? no grinding/dirty shit - i promise...

  • i will buy lunch/provide nudes/etc

Dude. Would love to but am fecked with school stuff at the moment. After April I can.

  • cool. my dad is over in may, so i want to do as many of the pissy little jobs as i can. much quicker with two or more.

  • Saw one of these the other day in Chelsea. Strange little miniature electric Hummer. Kinda cool I guess

  • I guess not

  • dude would love to come lend a pair of hands. next few weekends no good. if you can pull a mid week day at some point am happy to come get my hands dirty

  • ok mate - i'll see if i can 'work from home'

    cheers!

  • sweet any day other than a Wednesday and I can probably swing it. perks of 'working from home' 4/5

  • Just caught up on the Gerry Marshall Trophy and the Graham Hill Trophy on youtube. Great races but it definitely seems as though Goodwood have got into the swing of charging for everything. My parents have missed the last couple of Revivals but talking to my dad yesterday about the new 'Fellowship' level of membership, he mentioned that if it continues to be over sold and the base ticket keeps getting usurped by all the 'exclusive' higher tier tickets, he'll just stop going. It's a shame.

  • watch the highlights of the betty richmond final, if you can - best race ever.

sent LRM into fucken troppo-mode. he loves minis.

  • CSB: the novice trophy in Historic Roadsports is called the Gerry Marshall Trophy. I am going to win it.

  • Feel your dad is right, or I feel the same at the moment.

  • I've just checked that out. A pint pot - very apt for Big Gerry.

Incidentally, on another CSB, my dad has Gerry's old TVR Tuscan that he raced for David Gerald in the first few seasons of the Tuscan Challenge.

  • That’s a way cooler story than mine
