damn that's good!

• #122853
Tasty!
Please don't tell me you left it locked outside did you?
-
• #122854
As opposed to unlocked?
-
• #122855
How can you miss that lock
-
• #122856
Someone could easily chop that spoke to nick your front wheel. Also those Liteloks are pretty weak
-
• #122857
I’ve been riding plenty long enough and done enough research into locks to know the risks of locking.
Thanks for your input, I’ll probably do what I want. -
• #122858
Bad ass
-
• #122859
No, just fed up with the nonsense on this forum.
It’s probably just me, and time for me to go. -
• #122860
How would you suggest locking both wheels and the frame with that lock given that's what he's got available?
-
• #122861
You could probably get the front lock around the rim/tyre instead of just a spoke, which would give a little more security. Doubt it would fit around the frame & the front wheel though.
-
• #122862
I would've put the front lock through the rim and DT if it fits, even though it's not attached to the rack. It's a tradeoff because if someone cuts the back lock they walk off with your bike, but I'd judge that the spoke is more likely to be cut than the back lock.
@eyebrows I was pretty sure that you know what you're doing and dithered about whether or not to comment, but I decided that it's better that a few people read a useless comment than anyone loses part of their bike. Apologies if I annoyed you, shouldn't have stuck my beak in
-
• #122863
To be fair, I didn't see the front lock
-
• #122864
Oi easy there.
I wouldnt be comfortable leaving a several K biek locked outside with a hiplock and a d-lock holding a spoke.
But aye, each to their own innit..
Plz don't leave us!

• #122865
And yes, I hadn't seen the front lock before either.
Who's taking the risk to hurt eyebrows' feelings and forward it to "ways to not lock your bike"?;)

This has just come out of hibernation, but it's taken a while to get the fit right. Not sure about the gold chain (seems impossible KMC ones in other colours atm...?) but very pleased w the addition of tan walls and forum sticker. Really looking forward to warmer evenings so I can ride this thing more...

Anyone know if Stan's tyre sealant is basically the same as Vittoria Pit Stop but not in a pressurised can? If you haven't seen Pit Stop before, it is a white milky liquid and stays liquid when it's inside the inner tube. I guess it's contact with outside air which makes it dry/cure.

Does anyone have a clue what thumb shifters are indexed and 8 speed? Or an adapter that’s not £££ like velo orange or Paul? The sunrace ones have mixed reviews...
-
• #122872
Ok, so everything I’ve found has been for bar end shifters. What’s a good thumb shift option? Bite the bullet and get bar ends and convert? I really want indexed bar mounted retroshift.
-
• #122873
What type of shifters do you have right now?
If they're down-tube, you might be able to convert them to thumbshifters -
• #122874
Precisely what I’m looking to do. Most of the adapters I’ve found specify bar end only.

Microshift probably has something
Yup. With some changes.
